What is the WHRT Podcasting Network
WHRT has been the place for Sacred Heart students who want to be broadcasted on the radio to go. From the small radio antenna that only sends a signal a mile away, to modern day digital streaming, the radio station has seen a lot of change over the years. And now, the biggest change to radio yet, Podcasting.
WHRT converted from a radio station to a strictly Podcasting network in Fall of 2018. In the past decade, podcasts have become a huge industry giving almost anybody the power of reaching a global audience. It is our goal to prepare the students of Sacred Heart to be ready to be a part of this new era of media and entertainment.
WHRT is a club and is open to all students at the University. Each student or team of students that want to be a member will have their own show as part of the WHRT Podcast Network. The WHRT Podcast will feature shows produced by the CM 228 Podcasting and Radio Journalism Class.
Are you ready to be a member of the WHRT Podcast Network in 2021? Then simply submit your application on the Join page. An e-board member will be in touch with you shortly about having you featured on the WHRT Podcast Network.
